Evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy with cutting edge virtual reality experiences

We have partnered with Psious virtual reality technology to continue to match evidence-based treatments with advanced approaches. As a result, VR treatment is now available for many anxiety-based conditions.

VR technology allows graduated exposure to feared situations in the office environment and has been shown to be more effective than imaginal exposure. The VR system works with a VR headset, a mobile platform that contains the software to deliver the programs, and the therapist who manages the computer environment to direct the treatment.

CONVENIENT, FLEXIBLE AND USER FRIENDLY

The Psious platform is highly flexible with options to carry out the Virtual Reality sessions either in our Clinic or at Home.  Where clients cannot get into the Clinic an alternate visor option is available to purchase that is compatible with your smart phone.  The Clinic visor and presence of the therapist is the ideal and provides the higher quality VR experience.

FEES

We do not charge you any more than the standard consultation fee when using our latest VR (Click Here). Consumables are an additional cost.  For instance, the hygiene masks and the disposable VR visor for home use (pictured above).

Fees for psychological services may attract a rebate from Medicare or your Private Health Fund. Please check with your Health Insurer for eligibility. To be eligible for the Medicare rebate, a Mental Health Care Plan is required from a General Practitioner.
