Healthy ageing is more than the absence of mental illness.  It is about flourishing in life, promoting wellbeing and creating a satisfying life filled with meaning, pleasure, engagement, positive relationships and accomplishments.

Rob outlined what is normal ageing, stepping residents through Martin Seligman’s 7 habits of happy people and what the research is telling us about how we can lower the risk of dementia through activity; learning; watching our weight; and diet to ensure we head off diabetes; and control any high blood pressure.
