This website was developed to meet the needs of GPs involved in the Better Outcomes in Mental Health and Better Access initiatives.
The website is comprised of three parts:
- Symptom lists with associated diagnoses and effective management strategies.
- A brief list of focused psychological strategies that work and are informed by evidence.
- A list of well-validated outcome measures (K10) and information about interpretation. The measures are supplied in a printer friendly format.
This website offers a suite of free diagnostic tools that is quick and easy for patients to complete.
The PHQ, contains the mood (PHQ-9), anxiety, alcohol, eating, and somatoform modules. The PHQ-9 is specific to depression and the GAD-7 scores 7 common anxiety symptoms. The measures are well validated with interpretation information. The screeners can be downloaded in a printer friendly format.
